Masters Project - Bournemouth University
My Masters Project at Bournemouth University.
Serenity is an attempt to capture the small details in nature by combining macro photography and computer graphics. The project is set in a forest, just after a heavy rainfall. Delicate phenomena in nature are exaggerated to support the story. Hyper-realism is introduced when the water drop crystallizes and jewels are formed. Designs of the jewelery are inspired by nature and the colors are taken from the environment surrounding it. Houdini was used for all the 3D work and Nuke for compositing. |
DE Techniques - Bournemouth University

Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings - Disney
I also worked on Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings at Prana. It involved effects like pixie dust, snowfall, wing pixie.
Elf on the Shelf - Trick 3D
A DVD project done at Prana. The project involved a lot of effects like snowfall, snow deformation, pixie dust. This was my first effects project as a fresher.
I played a substantial role in delivering this project which was handled by a relatively small FX team. |

Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue - Disney
This was my first project after joining Prana as an FX intern. This was a stereo conversion project and I had to deliver right eye FX elements matching the existing ones. We faced a lot of difficulties in this project as all Maya files were not available. Also new simulations did not match the approved ones. So a majority of the project had to be done by shifting the elements in comp. We used Fusion for this purpose and shifted RE elements using transforms, grid warps and other techniques. I learnt a lot of problem solving and got a clear idea of how stereoscopy works. I also developed an eye for noticing flaws in stereo and actively participated in dailies.
